Join this 5 day and 4 nights tour of Cusco and Machu Picchu with fully guided sight. See cultural area such as Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Sacred Valley, and Huayna Picchu Mountain. All fares included with daily breakfast and round-trip airport transfers; makes wonderful exciting memories while exploring this incredible region in tranquility.
After we pick you up from the airport, you will be transferred to your hotel in Cusco (or we will pick you up from your hotel if you are already in Cusco). Enjoy the morning at your leisure before beginning your 4 hours city tour at 1:30pm. You will be guided through the Convent of Santo Domingo, then move on to additional archeological sites located just outside of Cusco city; such as Sacsayhuaman, Q’enqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. We will then return back to the city in the evening, dropping you off in the main square (Plaza de Armas) or your hotel.
An amazing tour awaits us today. We will start our VIP excursion through the Sacred Valley of the Incas in Chinchero, where we will join a traditional weaving workshop. This village is mainly comprised of mud brick (adobe) houses and the locals still go about their businesses in traditional dress. The walls and roofs of this town are covered in beautiful floral and religious designs. We will be part of the most remarkable textile handmaking display and see how the locals are working fashion. Then, we continue with a guided tour to the non-traditional Maras Moray circuit, a unique archaeological group that is one of a kind. The gigantic circular depressions in the ground surface, with their respective irrigation canals were believed to be an agriculture investigation centre of the Inca’s but also a vibration complex. Then we drive to the salt mines located 7 km from Moray, pass through a typical Spanish village called Maras. To the northwest of the town of Maras, we will find around 2000 small wells that local people still use today to provide themselves with salt. Then we go to the next stop, Urubamba, where we will enjoy a great lunch. In the afternoon we will visit the village of Ollantaytambo and the Inca Archaeological site of Ollantaytambo which was inhabited 500 years ago and still remains in pretty good state... The name of city behold an amazing history similar to Romeo & Juliet that our guide will have the pleasure to explain to you more in details. Afterwards we will go in the vicinity of P’isaq's archeological site, to the Inka Royal Pisac, to enjoy the colossal complex with a pool (for younger and older), jacuzzi, cinema, billard and much more!
You will have most of the day free to explore the surrounding, do activities or simply relax in this nice place that the Sacred Valley as to offer . In the afternoon at around 3pm, you will pack your things and make your way to Aguas Calientes (the city at the bottom of Machu Picchu). But before that we will finish our complete view of the area with a visit to P'isaq archeological site. Then a train will be awaiting for us to leave Ollantaytambo and reach Aguas Calientes. Once there, you will have leisure time to spend the night as you please in this beautiful town, resting in your hotel, relaxing in the local hot springs, hiking the small trails around the town, or exploring the many restaurants and shops Aguas Calientes has to offer.
After an early breakfast (departure 5am) we will begin our 1 hour ascent to Machu Picchu on foot or by bus (passengers’ choice). You will meet your guide waiting for you at the entrance and then start your 2 hours guided tour. Afterwards, you will have free time to explore the citadel on your own. Later in the day (normally 6h20pm, if not 9h50pm) we will board our train from Aguas Calientes to Ollantaytambo and be transferred to Cusco by bus.
The day is yours to enjoy. When you are ready we will have a driver waiting for you and transport you to the airport for your departing flight or bus station as you head to your next destination.
