DAY 1: Arrival  to Lima & City Tour.

Our representative will be at the airport when your plane arrives in order to lead you to your hotel which is located in the neighborhood of Miraflores or San Isidro. You will have some time to settle into your hotel before our first tour. At around 14:15, our guide and driver will pick you up to begin a 4 hour tour of the city of Lima. The first place we will visit will be Huaca Pucllana which was a ceremonial and administrative pre-Incan building. Then, we will visit the city center where we will get to see the Cathedral of Lima, Francisco Pizarro’s tomb, the catacombs of the San Francisco Monastery, the National Congress, and the Palace of Torre Tagle. We will then continue to the sophisticated and modern districts of Miraflores and San Isidro. From these areas we will have nice views of the ocean.Our tour will finish at Kennedy Park in Miraflores. At this time, you might like to enjoy some delicious Peruvian cuisine in one of the many restaurants that can be found in the area.


Day 2: Lima Paracas – BALLESTAS ISLANDS – NAZCA 

Today, after breakfast in your hotel we will start our journey toward Paracas at 3:30am. Upon arrival we will transfer you to Paracas Bay to take the tour by motorboat to the Ballestas Islands, three small islands filled with wildlife just a few minutes from the coast. On the journey to the islands, we will be able to see the “Candelabro”, a giant hieroglyph in the shape of a candleholder. When we arrive to the Ballestas Islands, we will stay on the boat while observing the frenzy of amazing animals including noisy but playful seals and sea lions, as well as a huge number of sea birds including, Humbolt penguins, pelicans, tendrils, Inca terns, Peruvian boobys, red legged cormorants and guanays. After our tour of the islands, we will have lunch and drive to Nazca where we will spend the night.



After breakfast, we’ll drive to the airport, where we take a 30 minute flight over the incredible Nazca Lines. During this flight over the Nazca Lines, we will be able to see the most fascinating figures such as: the monkey, hummingbird, tree, parrot, astronaut, dog, condor and others. After the flight, we drive from Nazca to Ica where we will visit the beautiful Huacachina Oasis. A magical sight in the middle of the desert. After we have lunch, you can enjoy this incredible palm trees lined, blue-green oasis, surrounded by sand dunes. In these dunes you can book a wild, unforgettable sand buggy ride and sand-boarding adventure (not included). After we enjoy the sight of a beautiful sunset in the desert, we return to Lima where you will stay in a hotel for the night.


Day 4: Arequipa City Tour.

Early in the morning after breakfast, we will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the airport. After your arrival we will start a City tour of Arequipa, including the Main Square, one of the most beautiful squares in Peru, and the Cathedral, a prime example of XIX century Peruvian architecture, housing beautiful treasures in gold and silver. We also visit the La Compania Church, and ancient Jesuit temple, maybe the most important one in Arequipa due to its history and tradition, with a beautiful façade with carved columns, laurel crowns, flowers, birds, etc. A more careful look at the façade, however, reveals the limits of European influence, as the angels have Indian faces; and indeed one face is even crowned with feathers. Then, we will visit the Santa Catalina Convent; a “small town” built in the XVII century and opened to the public in 1970, after 400 years cloister. Perfectly preserved for four centuries, you go back in time as you enter the cloister and see the numerous, spacious patios and gardens, the kitchen and slave quarters and stone washtubs of this convent. Overnight at the hotel.


DAY 5: Colca Canyon Tour.

We depart at 08:00 a.m. Pick you up at your Hotel. On the way we will appreciate the spectacular Volcanoes of Misti (5825 m.s.n.m) and Chachani (6057 m.s.n.m.), also we see wild vicuñas, alpacas & llamas in Pampa Cañahuas national reserve, Also we can observe exotic birds such as: flamingos, ducks, ibis, falcons, eagles, and many others. The view point of the Volcanoes and snow covered mountains in Patapampa (4,800 m.a.s.l). Continuing with the trip we start our decent into Chivay (3600 m.a.s.l), capital of the valley.
Afternoon optional visit to the thermal springs and pools in La Calera 40ºC. Note: The optional visit to La Calera Hot Springs is for passenger’s staying at Chivay only.


DAY 6: Colca Canyon Tour 

Today, you will have to wake up at 06:00hrs to have breakfast in the hotel before continuing our excursion to the Condor Cross Viewpoint. Here, we will be able to admire the flight of condors, huge and wonderful Andean birds that are a symbol of the Andes Mountain Range. From this viewpoint, we will also be able to appreciate the depth of the Colca Canyon. Approximately 4,160m or 13,650ft deep, it is more than twice as deep as the Grand Canyon in the USA. After leaving the viewpoint, we will visit the towns of Maca and Yanque where we will find many examples of typical colonial architecture. After lunch, you will be taken back to your hotel and you’ll have the rest of the day at your leisure.



Early in the morning, after breakfast, we will transfer you to the airport to board a flight to Cusco. At your arrival, you may want to take some time to get acclimatized to the altitude before starting the city tour of Cusco, between 13:00hrs and 13:20hrs. First, we will visit the Cathedral of Cusco, located on the Plaza de Armas. Then our tour will continue to Qorikancha (The Temple of the Sun) and the Convent of Santo Domingo as well as to several of the city’s impressive archaeological ruins such as Sacsaywaman, Qenqo, Pukapukara, and Tambomachay. Our tour will finish at the main square. At this time, you might like to enjoy a tasty dinner in one of the many nearby restaurants. Alternatively, we can arrange to drop you off at your hotel. Just tell your guide what you are in the mood to do.



After breakfast, we will leave the Sacred Valley of the Incas travelling through picturesque villages and beautiful landscapes until reaching the Abra Malaga Mountain(4350m.a.s.l.). We will depart, descending on top scale mountain bikes for 3 hours going though rural villages, rivers, orchards and streams reaching the Huamanmarca Region. Our private bus will take the group to Santa Maria, where we will launch the rafting portion of our trek. Note: Those that did not book the rafting tour will go with an assistant guide in our private bus to Santa Rosa, arriving at the La Choza Eco Lodge, located in the Pispitayoc village. Later, the rafting group will be taken to Santa Rosa and hike to the lodge. We will then have dinner and rest for the night.

After breakfast, we start walking for 2.5 hours along the riverbanks and start ascending into the high forest observing small coffee and cacao plantations and fruit trees amongst the abundance of flora and fauna. In this area it is possible to see many types of plants, orchids, birds and other wildlife. We witness the mysterious beauty of the high forest, a paradise of biodiversity in the Inca jungle. After arriving to the top of the mountain we will see the whole expansiveness of the Urubamba Valley. After basking in the force of these panoramic views, we descend, arriving at the village Qellomayo where we will have lunch. Afterwards, we will go by bus for about one hour to Lucmabamba and walk up to the Llaqtapata ruins in about 2.5 hours passing and descent for another half hour to the Llaqtapata lodge. Here we will have dinner and sleep at an amazing location with a breath taking view of Machu Picchu and Huayna Picchu. More info Llaqtapata click here.



The next morning, after a good breakfast we start the descent at 8 p.m. for about 1.5 hours to the river Ahobamba where a bus will take us in half an hour to the hot springs near Santa Teresa. We will have some time to relax before walking to the zip lining location which is nearby. After this activity the bus will bring us to Hidroélectrica where we will enjoy our lunch. We can relax here for a while, then we will continue walking along the train track that is leading through this great jungle that the Inca knew by heart to our final destination: Aguas Calientes. We walk for about 3 hours and along the way you will encounter beautiful waterfalls, different Eco farms and possibly wildlife curious of your arrival in the region at 5 p.m. Here the group will spend the night in a hostel. At night we all will get together in a local restaurant to enjoy a great dinner and have a briefing about our next excursion to Machu Picchu. Then you are free to visit the city which is wonderful after sun’s set.



We start hiking early after breakfast with the ambition to marvel at the sunrise from the heights of Machu Picchu. We will have a 2 hour comprehensive tour and afterwards you will have free time to explore the sacred soil in solitary. The passengers that reserved the hiking tour to Huayna Picchu will have a 2.5 hour steep ascension ending in a rewarding view. In the afternoon the group will descend to Aguas Calientes, boarding a train to Ollantaytambo, and ride back to Cusco arriving in the evening.


DAY 12: Departure from Cusco.

Today you will finish our Peru Vacation program. Our staff will pick you up from your hotel and lead you to Cusco International Airport where you will catch your flight back to Lima.Once you arrive to the airport, our program will conclude.
